We are seeking a skilled Obstetrics RN to join our team in the Family Birthing Unit in Kamuela, HI (Big Island). As an Obstetrics RN, you will be responsible for coordinating the clinical care of patients in the Family Birthing Unit, ensuring high-quality patient/family outcomes, and establishing a consistent and accountable relationship with patients and their families.
Our Family Birthing Unit consists of 5 private labor and delivery suites, 1 triage room, 3 postpartum overflow beds, and a level 1 nursery. While our unit is a low-risk OB unit, we are equipped to manage high-risk stabilization until transport occurs. As an Obstetrics RN, you will care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum couplets, and stabilization of neonates until appropriate transport occurs.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate clinical care of patient
Integrate all healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient/family outcomes
Establish a consistent and accountable relationship with patient/family
Initiate and develop the plan of care
Provide patient/family education
Utilization management
Discharge planning
Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse
Current certification at BLS/HCP level
Current ACLS and NRP certifications
2 Years L&D Experience within the last 4 years
