Job Description
VHS is looking for an OB/GYN Hospitalist for Jackson, MS!
Hospital Details
  • Monthly Averages
NICU Level: III
Total Hospital Deliveries = 1,440 annually
Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists = 276 annually
Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists
(not including deliveries) = 3,024 annually
MFM onsite 24/7
In-house Anesthesia 24/7
EMR = Epic
# of OBED Beds = 3 (on the L&D unit)
Program Details
Program Start Date: March 2012
24 Hour Shifts in OBED (begin at 10am CST)
6 hours of clinic coverage: 9am - 3pm (optional)
Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage (In-patient
consults, ER coverage for unassigned patients, gyn emergencies such as ectopic pregnancies)
Hospitalists NOT Required to Perform Circumcisions
Hospitalists Needed for First Assist (yes, we do majority of first assist)
First Assist Available to the Hospitalists
Hospitalists do NOT backup Family Practice Backup Available to the Hospitalists
Backup Available to the Hospitalists
Backup Available to the Hospitalist: Yes (OB/GYN ED Call)
Compensation Details
IC $190 per hour
Mileage and hotel up to $200/night paid
