Job Description
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School Newark, New Jersey is seeking a OB/GYN Hospitalist at the Assistant/Associate level to join our team. Under the direction of the Division Director for General OBGYN, the OB/GYN Hospitalist will provide in-house obstetrical physician coverage, and provide clinical supervision/oversight for the patients on the Labor floor. He/she will cover inpatients and triage on the labor and delivery floor in University Hospital and other sites collaborating with Rutgers NJMS, as well as ED coverage, and gynecologic emergencies with gynecologic and gynecologic oncology backup as needed. The candidate will be expected to directly work with fellows, residents, and medical students in labor and delivery, the operating room and the antepartum/postpartum wards for any admitted Obstetrical patients as the attending physician. Applicant must demonstrate experience and competence in obstetrics and labor floor quality and performance initiatives. The applicant must have interest in teaching and supervising medical students and housestaff.

To qualify, the candidate must a Board Certified OB/GYN with a minimum of 2 years experience. In addition to clinical duties, the successful candidate will be responsible for lectures, didactic clinical instruction as well as our obstetrics and gynecology residents and NJMS medical students and research.
