New York Cancer and Blood Specialist, The best in cancer treatment: a comprehensive community oncology center delivering more personalized services and faster access to technologies and treatments.


Oncology nurse’s main duty is to supervise and provide nursing care to cancer patients. They monitor patient’s condition, develop care plans, develop symptom management protocols and administer medication.


Work hand-in-hand with Physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure the greatest quality of care for the patient.


In this role, you will:


  • Works cohesively with the surgical scheduling team to ensure that all patients have active and current benefits that St. Charles Hospital participates with for delivery as well as assists in making sure all patients are preregistered for delivery.
  • Assist in sharing educational programs such as lactation, Lamaze, and general parenting support.
  • Follow all New York Health (NYH) policies and procedures.


We require:


  • Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in ONCOemr.
  • Must have strong customer service acumen accompanied by a warmth that portrays with every patient call.
  • Must have in depth understanding of insurance products, deciphering plans per patient and communicating the breakdown to each patient.
  • Possess organized and systematic work habits.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
  • Travel to any of the New York Health locations
