Job Description
Position Purpose:Under the direction of the Clinical Laboratory Management, the Medical Technologist is accountable for ensuring that appropriate and timely specimen handling, delivery, specimen testing, results reporting, and customer service are provided in an efficient and cost-effective manner in accordance with laboratory and hospital policies and procedures.
The Medical Technologist is also responsible for ensuring that all laboratory procedures being performed in areas of responsibility will comply with all regulatory, accrediting, and licensure requirements.Humboldt General Hospital Laboratory is a 24-hour/7-days a week operation, providing laboratory services to both inpatient and outpatient populations.Primary
