Everett Community College is seeking Nursing Instructors committed to making a difference in the lives of students, families, and children.
We have three full-time positions teaching in various classroom, clinical, and laboratory settings.
You will advise prospective and current students and participate in nursing faculty activities to develop, implement and evaluate nursing program policies, curriculum, and instruction.
This application is for three open tenure track positions:
  • For the Pediatrics specialty positionPediatrics experience is required, and OBGYN experience is preferred.Evidence of working with obstetrics and pediatrics within the last three years.
  • Pediatrics
  • Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Those currently enrolled in a Masters Degree of Nursing program may still apply but must obtain their degree within one year of hire.
  • Ability to organize clinical experiences and class schedules with multiple competing deadlines.
  • Mentoring
  • Experience in Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and the Medical-Surgical setting.
  • Foundational Nursing skills through advanced Medical-Surgical, evening program
  • Clinical instruction can vary and may be on days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
    We seek individuals who can work collaboratively with clinical agencies and community partners and model the professional nurse role for students. Additionally, faculty will need to comply with the same background checks and immunization requirements as students as required by our community clinical partners.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Those currently enrolled in a Masters Degree of Nursing program may still apply but must obtain their degree within one year of hire.
    • Experience working in a multicultural environment with students and/or patients who are underrepresented
    • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Washington or the ability to obtain a license by August 1, 2023.
    • Evidence of acute, long-term, and/or ambulatory care nursing practice within the last three years; as a registered nurse.
    • For the Pediatrics specialty positionPediatrics experience is required, and OBGYN experience is preferred.Evidence of working with obstetrics and pediatrics within the last three years.

    • Documented successful classroom and clinical teaching experience in nursing at the post-secondary education level.
    • Evidence of experience with teaching nurses using both high and low-fidelity simulation.
    • Ability to organize clinical experiences and class schedules with multiple competing deadlines.
