The College of Nursing invites candidates with an established research track record to submit applications. This position requires excellence in teaching, research, and service. This includes but is not limited to teaching PhD and DNP, MSN and/or undergraduate courses, advising and directing undergraduate and graduate students, guiding theses or dissertations and performing service to the College, University, academic community and nursing profession. The candidate is expected to sustain an extramurally funded program of research complimentary to College of Nursing major research foci:
1) Patient/Family Engagement and Outcomes, 2) Community Engagement/ Health Equity, and 3) Student Engagement and Pedagogical Research. The candidate must demonstrate the ability and commitment to mentor faculty and doctoral students.
Duties and Responsibilities1) Patient/Family Engagement and Outcomes, 2) Community Engagement/ Health Equity, and 3) Student Engagement and Pedagogical Research. The candidate must demonstrate the ability and commitment to mentor faculty and doctoral students.
The responsibilities of the successful candidate include demonstrates high-quality research and excellence in teaching, leadership, and service. Candidates may teach at all degree levels (e.g. BSN, MSN, Doctoral).
Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEarned doctorate in nursing (PhD).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesPreference will be given to candidates who work with historically under-represented groups and/or address health inequities.
