Your Day-to-Day:
In this position the Nuclear Engineer I with be working with the advanced reactor engineering team, including the eVinciTM Micro Reactor project team , to perform modeling and simulation activities and can expect to be responsible for the following:
  • Perform modeling and analysis of advanced reactor designs using a variety of engineering tools and methods. Develop documentation related to these calculations and analyses
  • Occasional travel to vendors, contractors, testing sites, etc., as needed to support development activities
  • Provide technical support for assigned work performed in the modeling and simulation of micro reactor systems and components
  • Work with cross functional teams (i.e. system and component design, testing, manufacturing, materials, etc.) to solve challenging technical problems to progress the eVinci Micro Reactor and other advanced reactor designs
  • Interface with technical leads and project managers in coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must possess analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail and excellent communication skills including technical writing
  • BS Degree in Nuclear Engineering Required; Masters Preferred.
  • Ideally have modeling or simulation experience - finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), neutronics analysis (MCNP, Serpent), etc.
  • 0-3 years of experience
