Job Summary

To perform essential job duties and requirements of APL Operator Safely and Properly as described.

Evaluation of Job Duties

SEQUENCE OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

• Replacing plastic film on wrapper, and strapping on strapper.
• Labeling pallets and handling labeler. (Where applicable)
• Placing yarn packages in plastic bagging. (When applicable)
• Handling/lifting pallet material
• Crossing/walking over conveyers. (When applicable)
• Unloading pallets/cases of yarn from packing line conveyors and placing them in storage area properly.
• Repairing packages jammed at the Palletizer/APL Conveyors and/or OES Frames.
• Servicing and working around chain hangers, lifters, and palletizer, boxer, strapper, wrapper and rotation turntables. (When applicable)
• Using Compressed Air.
• Changing and/or filling propane gas tanks.
• Driving Forklift/Tow Motor (When applicable)
• Working around Photo Eye Sensors.
• Using Hi-Vac Suction system. (Where applicable)
• Hair restraints, work apparel, jewelry, etc.
• Sweeping and patrolling work area.
• Automated Package Handling System. (Where applicable)
• Machine guarding.
• Using Ladders/Machine steps
• Using Utility Knives. (Where applicable)
• Using electric and/or regular pallet jacks/hand truck. (When applicable)
• Pushing yarn buggies.
• Using bale press.
• Using roll sliding doors.
