New Product Introduction Project Manager

Job Overview

The New Product Introduction Project Manager will be responsible for driving forward new product introduction and changeover projects and ensuring deliverables are on time and complete. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and driving successful product launches from concept to commercialization. Your role will involve coordinating all project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards, and mitigating risks throughout the NPI lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and management skills, along with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope in the manufacturing or product development industry.

Reports To

The NPI Project Manager will report to the Product Portfolio Manager and reside on the Product & Packaging Team.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Communicate project deliverables and hold team members accountable for said deliverables
• Ensure project phases are completed on time and all action items are closed out
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, and understand when to escalate
• Review NPI documentation for consistency and completeness
• Lead cross-functional project team consisting of R&D, Quality, Production, Supply Chain to common goal of product launches
• Proactively develop project plan tools and communicate project status and key milestones
• Organize project data and deliverables
• Contribute to process improvement and continuous improvement
• Hold post-launch debriefs to determine areas for improvement

Requirements

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent problem identification and solving skills
• Cross functional team leadership and communication skills
• Experience using and building complex Gantt Charts
• Proficiency using project management software
• A minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, CPG preferred
