Job Description

Summary

The Neuroscience Institute (NSI) of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a full-time Neuropsychologist to join its LGHP Neuropsychology practice. This provider will be responsible primarily for conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments through its adult outpatient and interdisciplinary LGHP Alzheimer’s and Memory Care teams.

Penn Medicine LGHP Neuropsychology has a robust clinical training program. In addition to their clinical responsibilities, this Neuropsychologist will be intricately involved in the training program, encompassing the team’s APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral neuropsychology fellowship programs.

Staff Neuropsychologists at Penn Medicine LGHP Neuropsychology assess an array of presenting complaints with referrals originating predominantly from NSI neurology, primary care, and neurosurgery. Standard evaluations are related to dementia care, movement disorders (i.e, DBS evaluations), TBI/post-concussion syndrome management, and neuro-oncology/pre-surgical planning (e.g., fMRI mapping, NPH), among others. Neuropsychologists are responsible for conducting initial interviews, test selection, interpretation of results/report generation, feedback sessions, interdisciplinary collaboration, supervision of trainees/residents, and are expected to be involved in quality improvement and program development within the Penn Medicine LGHP Neuropsychology and LGHP Alzheimer’s and Memory Care practices. Of note, employed psychometricians are utilized for test administration.

The position setting is primarily outpatient, but consultation services are requested at the Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital and Lancaster General Hospital on an occasional basis.

We are an inclusive team and believe that diversity of thought and background greatly strengthens who we are and optimizes our care of the community we serve. To that end, we developed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Clinical Excellence Committee at Penn Medicine LGHP Neuropsychology to inform our inner workings and optimize our culturally-informed patient care. Aligned with these efforts, we strongly welcome and encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply to join our team.
