Job Description

Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring for a

***Registered Neurodiagnostic/ EEG Tech***

to work at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in the Epilepsy Program. Norfolk General is a Level One Trauma Center in Norfolk, VA.

Hours/Shift:

Full time, Third Shift. Thursday-Saturday (5pm-5:30am) Additionally, there is a call requirement and some rotation (all rotations will be on 3rd shift)

Department/Position Overview:

Performs a wide variety of neurophysiological diagnostic studies in the laboratory, intra-operatively and in the intensive care settings; operates and performs preventative maintenance on complex monitoring instruments; documents all acquired data for interpretation; ensures tests performed are properly ordered, charged and reported; makes independent assessments that may indicate urgent medical interaction.

We are looking for a Registered Neurodiagnostic Tech with a minimum of two years’ experience working in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.

Education/Certification:

  • Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) and Registered Evoked Potential Technologist (REPT) preferred
  • BLS required.
  • Registered Electroencephalograph Tech (EEG) required
  • Trade School Graduate - Electroneurodiagnostic Tech preferred, 1 year of experience in lieu of degree accepted.
