Job Description
On-Site in Ypsilanti or Oscoda, Michigan (No remote work option) MUST currently reside in Michigan - No Relocation.
A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. In addition, NO C2C or 3rd parties please.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and usage of complex corporate networks and MS Windows servers that link numerous computers across a widely dispersed enterprise environment. Test and implements interface programs; Evaluates hardware and software to determine which products best meet organization/customer needs; Manages network performance and maintains network security; Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced; Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical applications; Provides technical support for helpdesk escalations; Ability to plan and perform fault management, configuration control, and performance monitoring; Ability to conduct installation, activation, back-up, deactivation, and restart of network resources/services; Ability to evaluate communication hardware and software, troubleshoot LAN/WAN/VPN and other network-related problems; Schedules network conversions and cutovers; Provide technical assistance, support, and advice to user/customers, onsite or remotely worldwide.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the corporate Windows Network infrastructure and servers.
  • Assist with technical documentation and user education as needed.
  • Administer and maintain Windows Active Directory security. Develop policies such as backup procedures, security, and group policies..
  • Solve complex networking design issues, operational and maintenance problems; troubleshooting user obstacles
  • Supports users and teammates by offering technical expertise on network systems.
  • Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other business departments to ensure the successful implementation and support of key business initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Skillsets:
  • Occasional after-hours support required.
  • Understanding of Azure AD, Cloud Exchange, Mimecast, Fortinet products.
  • Thorough understanding (hands-on experience) with Windows 2008-2022 server OS, Windows 10 client OS, WSUS/SCCM, VMware ESXi vSphere, terminal server, NFS, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Willing and able to maintain a positive, supportive attitude in difficult scenarios.
  • Work well with others in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Understanding of ITIL v3/v4 framework (Incident/Request/Change/Problem management).
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and respect for others, a willingness to be flexible and open to change.
  • Working knowledge of HA, failover, deduplication (Dell PowerMax and Data Domain preferred) environments.
  • Thorough understanding (hands-on experience) with SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, FTP, VPN, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, and Ethernet devices (switch/router/hub) technologies.
  • Ability to lead a team ensuring tasks and projects are completed.
  • Working knowledge of Veeam backup software, Solarwinds, and Fortigate firewall desired.
  • Be willing and able to interact with all layers of the business utilizing non-technical terms.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED required. College coursework or degree is strongly preferred.
  • 2-3 years of related network/system administration experience.
  • General understanding or knowledge of the cargo airline industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Proficient in Spanish or Mandarin strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This position will require occasional travel (<10%).
