SIGMADESIGN has collaborated with a full-service electronics manufacturing company seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join their facility in Vancouver, WA. This company provides prototype and full-turnkey production services for a wide range of customers in the medical, defense, aerospace, unmanned systems, industrial and instrumentation sectors. This is a contract to hire position with the possibility of full-time employment after six months.

Primary Function:

The Network Administrator is responsible for keeping the company's computer network running seamlessly and up-to-the-minute.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

• Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
• Occasional after-hours work required.
• Upgrade network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Provides primary support for systems and functions not supported by Managed Service Provider: IP phone systems, printers, thin clients, server and desktop support.
• Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
• Responsible for providing timely, effective end user support that resolves the root causes of problems. Efficient, effective coordination with vendors and consultants.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)

• Excellent customer service, above average social skills a must.
• Office 365 or equivalent certified, intimate knowledge of MS Access, preferred.
• Pass a post-offer background verification and drug screen.
• Organization of work for efficiency.
• CompTIA or Network+ equivalent or better certification(s).
• Ability to identify problems and formulate solutions.
• 3 years’ experience in desktop support, network administration and database administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in network administration, Server+, Linux+, PenTest+
• Certification in Microsoft application support; MTA, MCSA or MCSE
• AA or AS degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Certification in SQL database administration; MTA, MCSA or MCSE

Work Environment:

OFFICE: Standard office environment with normal office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients or suppliers.
