Job Description
Overview:
StoneX is seeking an experienced, energetic, enthusiastic, and hard working .NET Engineer to develop applications for a wide variety of financial products, applying knowledge of full life cycle application development. Candidate will work independently, with individual responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of applications, while working in an environment of change and growth, with exposure to and learning of cutting-edge technology. Candidate must be able to apply knowledge of application design principles, practices, systems development and analysis. Candidate will also adhere to existing design/development/QA methodologies and analyze requirements and architect new software systems while maintaining the integrity of existing applications.
Responsibilities:
  • Software modeling and simulation Front end GUI design
  • Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project.
  • Support, maintain and document software functionality
  • Software testing and quality assurance
  • Working closely with other staff, such as project managers, systems analysts, and sales and marketing professionals
  • Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
  • Maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects
  • Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
  • Consulting with colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems and asking questions to obtain information, clarify details and implement information
  • Integrate new software with existing systems
  • Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
Qualifications:
## Qualifications:
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of object oriented principles and design
  • Sought out for technical guidance; anticipates technical issues at the product level and makes architectural and design decisions to avoid them.
  • Preferred skills also include C / C++ / Win32
  • Strong understanding in design, development and debugging of multithreading software projects
  • Proven experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proven exposure to distributed messaging / streaming platforms (Apache Kafka)
  • Successful candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
  • Extensive client/server programming skills, specializing in Microsoft products and technologies
  • 10+ years of professional front end, web, or mobile software developing with C#, .Net, or MVC frameworks.
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies, as well as mentor and train others in using new technologies.
  • Minimally 4-5 years of UI framework experience with React (preferred) or similar technologies.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure)
  • Solid skills in performing the entire software development life cycle including designing, coding and testing
