Job Description
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The successful candidate is responsible for providing professional nail care treatments for guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
  • Handle guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously
  • Educate guests regarding treatments and retail products
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  • Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
  • Stock and ensure cleanliness of nail room and equipment
  • Greet and complete established procedures for arriving guests by beginning on time for the appointment and completing within the allotted time
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor
  • Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls
  • Perform prep work and properly clean and restock room/area as required
  • Complete end of shift inventory on your room/cart and restock all necessary products, notify management of low stock items
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures
  • Follow all Spa timeliness standards, to include arriving at least one-half hour prior to the start of each appointment
  • Contribute to team/company engagement efforts
  • Attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa/hotel
  • Work efficiently and effectively without direct supervision
  • Provide high level of guest service at all times to all guest of the spa
  • Perform manicures, pedicures, foot and hand treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as home care programs, promotions and/or discounts available
  • Creates and maintains client cards with treatment notes, when appropriate
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas
JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Schedule flexibility to include working evenings and weekends to support the needs of the spa
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Compute basic arithmetic and mathematical calculations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to actively sit for 8+ hours at a time
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and guest satisfaction
  • Organized and detail oriented,
  • Ability to remain calm and polite in stressful situations

  • Must hold and maintain a MD state Nail Technician license and required insurance
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year previous Nail Technician experience; preferably in a hotel or related environment
