Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The person fulfilling this role reports directly to the Director, Consumer Insights, Brand Strategy and Marketing and is a member of the Marketing & Communications team. The Motion Graphics Designer/Editor will have daily, ongoing and strategy interaction with the Graphic Designer as that role currently serves as the creative oversight to the brand. Primary responsibilities of this role include creating engaging content for web, digital, broadcast or other platforms and strategy for marketing and communications materials. (customer-targeted, employee-only, internal, and external). The Motion Graphic Designer/Editor will also support the entire Hancock Health enterprise brand and other Hancock Health initiatives as determined by department and the strategic plan of the organization.

The position is full-time from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required as job duties demand.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in creation of design elements for digital media projects, including graphics, images, web ads, backgrounds, navigational elements, animated gifs, icons, and headers.
  • Maintain an “open door” policy and the ability to complete “stat” projects.
  • Assist in executing email marketing campaigns, including design and production of HTML/Eloqua emails.
  • Adhere to Hancock Health brand and style guidelines when producing digital content.
  • Provide additional support on Marketing projects as needed.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of a Digital Asset Management system.
  • Work within budgetary constraints to complete projects within the assigned budget and deadlines.
  • Create digital templates and styles to ensure consistency in the appearance of the brand.
  • Create storyboards and animatics for initial concept presentations.
  • Design a variety of digital projects, including but not limited to video shooting/editing, interactive/web ads, video graphics, social media and digital assets, animation, photography, creative presentations, etc.
  • Other duties assigned as obligations pertaining to the position’s description may change at any time.
  • Conceptualize unique visual solutions for marketing purposes.
  • Maintain, promote, and enhance graphic standards and brand guidelines in collaboration with Graphic Designer and Internal Communications.
  • Generate cost estimates and production timelines with production vendors.
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of client personalities to successfully conceptualize, design, and complete projects.
  • Collaborate with creative partners to help develop concepts and motion content that are on brand.
  • Maintain awareness of digital, social media, and design trends, marketing and research tools, and other associated professional subjects/technologies.
  • Support media strategy and placement activities as needed.
  • Adhere to all final art production and archiving standards for motion content.
  • Collaborate across the organization to drive up standards of creativity for motion content.
  • Assist in creating digital strategy recommendations.
