Job Summary/Description:
WIS-TV NEWS 10 Marketing Department is in search of a Motion Graphic Artist. Close that after effects tutorial and get ready to embark on a career where you create what you love and love what you create! If you're a self starter who can own a task and get things done, we're looking for YOU! In this role, you'll get to create visual and motion-based design assets for station branding projects, design 2D and 3D graphics for anything you can slap on a screen (including television, digital, social, and print applications), produce graphic design assets for our Marketing Department, and also conceptualize, design, and edit complete marketing and branding projects - from start to finish!
Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Maintain archive library of all graphics and animation produced
  • Keep current on the latest industry standards and equipment
  • Create visual and cross-platform motion graphics for marketing projects and station branding
  • Other tasks as needed
  • Design print ads, event signage, and various collateral
  • Concept and assist in the creation of large-scale station image
  • Shoot/edit photos and video
  • Organize system that will allow quick access for others
  • Edit videos for multiple platforms and projects
  • Assist with software and hardware decisions and other assets within Marketing Department
  • With the Director of Marketing, create and maintain consistent, effective visual branding
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Good organizational filing skills
  • Basic videography, photography, and lighting skills
  • Knowledge of VIZRT or Chyron graphic software, or ability to learn
  • Operating knowledge of PC's and graphics computers
  • Good people skills. Good communication skills
  • Solid design, motion graphics creation, and video editing and compositing skills
  • College degree or equivalent job experience in graphic design or video production
  • Strong ability to problem solve
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and related 2D or 3D graphics and editing software -and plugins. Cinema 4D and element 3D preferred
  • Strong understanding of visual marketing and stays up to date with design trends and shifts
