Morning Show Host Jobs

OnTheGoMedia is looking to add an energetic, outgoing personality to our on-air lineup for mornings on 104.9 KLMJ and mid-days on 99 The Wave. KLMJ's format is intended to be focused on service to our area communities through presentation of local news, information, high school sports, and weather. The KLMJ music format varies throughout the day with traditional Country in the morning, Classic Hits in the afternoon, and Classic Rock for afternoon drive and evenings. On 99 The Wave, music is the focus as we extensively play "Yacht Rock" classics throughout the day.
Do you have a gift for starting the conversation at family reunions? Do you enjoy listening to music and talking about popular or retro culture? Are you an early bird who enjoys afternoons and evenings off? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this position might be for you.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Familiarizing yourself with our broadcast area and being passionate about service to others
Organizing and preparing material to set up each day's success
Following a set format to ensure that each ad and programming element airs at its proper time
Understanding our music variety
Interacting and engaging with our audience through telephone, social media, and appearances
Conducting yourself in a professional manner with minimal supervision both online and in person
Operating remote and in-studio broadcast equipment
Maintaining traffic logs and recording transmitter readings
Requirements of the position include the following:
Ability to communicate well in personal, written, and electronic communications
Basic computer knowledge (Google, web based applications, etc.)
Willingness and ability to talk to the broadcast audience in a live setting
Strong character with the ability to handle pressure of always being on deadline
Valid driver's license
Previous on-air experience is not required
This is a full-time position with a 60-day introductory period. Benefits, including health insurance, retirement, and paid time off are included.
