Job Impulse is currently seeking 2Mold Set-up TechniciansinGreenville, SC.This is aFULL TIME DIRECT HIREopportunity. The Set-Up Technician will play an integral role in the injection molding department, performing and applying technical methods and knowledge to ensure molding presses are properly performing to meet production needs. The technician is responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process which includes, but not limited to setup and teardown, minor troubleshooting, maintaining quality, workflow, documenting and training.
WORK SCHEDULE:Day & Night Shift ( 7 A.M - 7 P.M.) & ( 7 P.M. – 7 A.M.) shift pattern results in 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week ( 2 OPENINGS)
Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Mold removal including tool prep, decoupling of auxiliaries, crane hookup and tool transfer
• Maintain ongoing production via use of SAP planning, resin replenishment and response to machine alarms.
• Maintain 5S standards
• Work with Team Leader and Quality assurance to ensure all systems ( Machines, Containment and Mold Tools) are working properly to ensure a good product for our customers
• Other duties as necessary
• Monitor set up time and continuous reduction of set up times
• Mold stop including purge, power downs and line clear
• Assure safe work practices to include proper use and wear of personal protective equipment ( safety glasses, etc.)
• Support team cohesiveness via complete work orders and information sharing within the team
• Mold start including, preparation for first shots, and verification of process setup parameters.
• Mold install including tool transfer, mold clamping and coupling of auxiliaries.
• Monitor processing of each mold during the initial start-up phase of a production run

Minimum Qualifications

• Personal computer skills: Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Proficient in the use of a kanban system
• Ability to read and comprehend basic engineering blueprints
• For immediate consideration***
• Proficient in operation of Demag and Engel molding presses/controllers
• Ability to perform repetitive rotation and movement of hands and wrists to work quickly and efficiently
• Able to stand for long periods of time at workstation ( s) along w/ repetitive movement of hands and wrist.
• Minimum of 3 years plastic injection molding experience
• Ability to manage high levels of stress
• Successful completion of Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Plastics Technology and/or equivalent automotive related plastic injection molding experience
• Regular dependable attendance
