WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Customer Solution Center in Englewood, you will work on a dedicated team developing new products and systems for our mobility drive systems.

  • This position will report to the Director, R&D.
  • Your objective will be to create innovative products and systems that meet technology gaps in our mobility drive business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading others as part of smaller task effort to identify innovative solutions to technology gaps.
  • Working on multiple development projects targeted with various completion dates using advanced rapid development methodologies.
  • Contributing to the ability and function of a multi-disciplinary team acting as a technical specialist and resource for other team members.
  • Developing new techniques, improved processes, materials or products.
  • Interpreting internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices for new or improved products, process, or materials.
  • Applying extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practice in one of the specific technical areas of product design, system integration, process development, manufacturing methods, or materials development.
  • Designing and conducting technical investigations, experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings and complex technical recommendations to those with less expertise than you.
  • Serving as lead engineer for one or more of the above areas.


ABOUT YOU

  • Creating system guides
  • Product specification (requirements to product design kits)
  • Applicable engineering or technical bachelor's degree to one of the following fields: product design, system integration, or test engineering.
  • System evaluation (Matlab, Simulink, or other)
  • Developing system requirements, FMEAs, and specifications
  • Minimum of 8 years progressive engineering experience, or equivalent combination of graduate technical degree and experience, within the specific areas of product and system development listed below.
  • Technical document management
  • Common pulley and shaft interfaces
  • Ability to travel to customer sites, manufacturing plants, laboratories, vendors, and other locations as required.
  • Hands on experience with mechanical drive systems with an understanding of power, torque, and drive ratios.
  • SYSTEM INTEGRATION & TESTING
    • Developing system requirements, FMEAs, and specifications
    • System and component testing and evaluation (conducting tests, test plans, instrumentation & data acquisition) for performance, NVH, and durability
    • System evaluation (Matlab, Simulink, or other)
    • Creating system guides
  • Design validation (DFMEA, DVP&R) including physical testing and development of test methods
  • Experience and knowledge in the following specific engineering areas:
    • PRODUCT DESIGN
      • CAD systems (SOLIDWORKS preferred)
      • Design validation (DFMEA, DVP&R) including physical testing and development of test methods
      • Product specification (requirements to product design kits)
      • Common pulley and shaft interfaces
      • Technical document management
    • SYSTEM INTEGRATION & TESTING
      • Developing system requirements, FMEAs, and specifications
      • System and component testing and evaluation (conducting tests, test plans, instrumentation & data acquisition) for performance, NVH, and durability
      • System evaluation (Matlab, Simulink, or other)
      • Creating system guides
  • System and component testing and evaluation (conducting tests, test plans, instrumentation & data acquisition) for performance, NVH, and durability
  • PRODUCT DESIGN

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Salary: $91,200 - 130,000
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
  • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
