What you will do

Come join Open Blue Security team and be a part of our digital transformation journey! We are an exciting “stealth mode” startup within Johnson Controls and our mission it to build the future of “perfectly protected” world.

We are currently looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to be in charge of defining Open Blue’s cloud strategy and development activities. You will be working closely with software development and testing teams to design, implement and optimize Open Blue Security cloud native applications and services.

How you will do it

· Scope and document technical work based on business requirements, collaborate with project collaborators to ensure that all requirements are met.

· Design, implement and create loosely coupled, robust and highly scalable applications.

· Prototype applications to evaluate new technologies as appropriate.

· Develop code that is platform agnostic; and where applicable, browser agnostic.

· Work with a large team of engineers in a multi-functional environment implementing high-quality products.

· Shall provide status of their efforts on a daily (morning Scrum) and weekly (Team Huddle) basis.

What we look for

Required

· All applicants must have bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.

· At least 5 years software engineering experience with a solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)

· Must have strong CS fundamentals, software architecture and problem solving skills.

· Highly proficient in native Android (Kotlin/Java) and/or iOS (Swift/Obj-C) development.

· Capable of working individually, or with a large team comprised of multiple fields.

· Facilitation and team-building skills at all levels.

· Ability to influence, train and mentor junior engineers.

Preferred

· Master’s degree is highly preferred and will count as 2 years of relevant experience.

· Experience publishing app to the respective App Store.

· Experience with React Native and/or React JS is highly preferred.

· Experience building RESTful APIs.
