Dewberry is currently seeking an experienced Geospatial/Remote Sensing Analyst for a unique opportunity to work embedded directly at a client office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced individual to join a team of professionals while supporting a client on site but still as a part of working in a multidisciplinary consulting and engineering firm. Typical responsibilities are to work on the GIS and Remote Sensing related projects with a strong focus on lidar and imagery derived deliverables.

Responsibilities:
  • Task Management
  • Problem resolution
  • Training, Quality control and providing feedback.
  • Report writing
  • Create and manipulate databases
  • Data extraction/compilation, interpretation of multiple sensor input data (lidar and imagery based)
  • Creating Scripts/Models/Macros in multiple sensor platforms;
  • Create a variety of digital mapping/remotely sensed products using various software platforms
  • Create and disseminate production workflow documents
  • Elevation, Feature, and other specific data Processing and Manipulation
Required Skills & Required Experience:
  • Strong verbal, organizational and written communication skills.
  • Required experience in Lidar processing, manipulation, and production.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and ArcGIS Pro.
  • Proficiency in Lidar processing applications (TerraScan, RiPROCESS, PosPac, Inertial Explorer, GlobalMapper, Hexagon GeoMedia).
  • Quality Assurance, documentation and providing feedback.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the GIS/Remote Sensing Field.
  • Working knowledge of Lidar classification and Lidar derived products (DEMs, Breaklines, Terrains).

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
