Job Description
Summary/Objective


The ideal candidate will serve as a graphic artist, capable of working with system engineers, instructional designers, subject matter experts, and other artists to develop multimedia content (e.g., still images, technical diagrams, 2D & 3D animations, interactive multimedia, video production and editing, etc.) for Department of Defense courseware training.


Required


  • Portfolio demonstrating related work experience and/or personal projects. An art test may be offered to compensate for lack of relevant examples.


Essential Functions

  • Design UI graphics for mobile, web, or standalone applications.
  • Generate accurate 3D models, textured, lit, and rendered for still image use or animations.
  • Edit and manipulate photographic imagery.
  • Create print materials such as flyers, brochures, posters, logos, etc.
  • Develop videos using multiple assets like still images, 2D & 3D animations, audio and video clips.
  • Review technical references and attend data gathering trips to complete project requirements.


Qualifications And Requirements


  • Eye for color, form, and design layouts
  • Proficiency in image editing
  • Familiar with editing video and audio clips
  • Experience creating 2D graphics
  • Experience with 3D modeling and animation in Maya, 3ds Max, and/or Modo
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, willing to contribute to a team, willing to guide artists with junior level skillsets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Adobe Premiere


Desired Skills
  • Experience in lighting and rendering scenes in any 3D software program.
  • Photography skills using a professional camera for data gathering purposes.
  • Experience in Modeling and Simulation for DoD.
  • Experience developing assets specifically for gaming engines.
  • Experience creating graphics for presentations, proposals, marketing materials, and documentation.

Required Education And Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Computer Animation, or other relevant degree.


3-5 years of experience as a graphic artist.


Preferred Education And Experience


Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Computer Animation, or other relevant degree.


Modeling and Simulation experience.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications


Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
