Mgr Social Work Services-Ed

This position is in the Emergency Department and will oversee a team ED Medical Social Workers and Behavioral Health Clinicians.
This is an on-site role at the University of Colorado Hospital.
Summary:
Responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations related to Medical Social Work, with a focus on efficient delivery of care and effective transitions between care settings and to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Assist in tracking data, noting trends, and identifying improvement opportunities through staff observations, chart reviews and other means.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days
Responsibilities:
Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagements and LCSW supervision of LCSW candidates.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution. May provide direct patient care when necessary.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Other information: Minimum Required Education: Master's degree in Social Work. Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Minimum Experience: 2 years of related experience. Preferred: 2 years of experience in leadership activities.

The pay range for this position is: $39.32 - $62.90/ hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
