This position earns a competitive union salary starting at $25.60/hr and eligible for daily overtime after 8 hours. After 12 months in the production role, the salary would be $28.63/hr. This is a first shift operation with a predictable work schedule of 6:00am - 2:30pm. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A METAL FABRICATOR

As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling frames and attaching door hardware to it. You will cut aluminum stock with a high-powered saw and fabricate it into frames using drills and other power tools. You will inspect products for any abnormalities and ensure a high-quality product.

Using our standard operating processes and software, you will ensure metal product in created for commercial jobs on time and to specifications. Attention to detail and accuracy are key to success. Your ideas matter and will be key to continuous improvement for Minneapolis Glass.

Metal Fabricator Qualifications

• Ability to stand for 8 hours a day with frequent lifting, carrying, bending and stretching
• High School degree / GED required
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. assisted
• 1-2 years of experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing work
• Familiarity with general mechanical tools, forklifts, cranes and other machines
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and read blueprints
• Welding experience preferred

Requirements

Active and Unrestricted CA license

One (1) Year Of Paid Experience Required

Certified CPR card

Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance

Negative TB test or chest x-ray

Cleared Physical Exam

Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality
