Job Description
Summary/Objective Support and assist Division Managers with various tasks and projects as requested to meet company and merchandising initiatives and customer requests. Prepare and run reports, evaluating inventory and receiving issues, invoicing errors and RGA's. This position will also be responsible for the data entry for vendors, new items and price changes in our company databases. Collecting and entering vendor and item information from source documents with a high level of accuracy. Compiling, verifying accuracy and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry. Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output. Must be able to receive and complete requests from multiple division managers as needed. Essential Functions Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents Input, update and maintain vendor account data and product information received from Merchandiser by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents by requested due dates including but not limited to the following: Collect and compare pricing on vendor price list to our current pricing & enter requested price changes Prepare new item set up information including accurate specs and pricing information from Division Manager for input into system. Add, change, or delete customer contracts each month Discontinue and suspend items Update product descriptions, specs or other data points Enter promotional offers in show file for Bookings and Shows Adjust demand history for item sales by request from Merchandiser Assist Purchasing/Merchandising to investigate issues such as shortages and damage from receiving product to identify any adjustments that are needed. Report and collaborate with vendors to resolve and request credits Respond to queries for information and access relevant files Scan documents and print files, when needed Other tasks as assigned Competencies Positive and professional customer service skills. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work in an efficiently and to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the company to ensure proper exchange of information. Must have excellent organizational skills with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks. Must have basic Math skills, accounting basics preferred Proficient at Microsoft Office programs including Excel Comply with data integrity and security policies Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions Must be able to read and write and communicate fluently in English. Knowledge in AS400 and query a plus. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment Works indoors. Extended periods of sitting at desk and working on a computer. Physical Demands This position may require some heavy lifting. The employee is required to sit for long periods of time. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday. Will work 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Travel Travel seldom required. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma Must have basic Math skills Excellent interpersonal skills on the phone and in person Strong organizational skills Data Entry experience Proficient at Microsoft Office programs including Excel Other Duties Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
