Job Title: Merchandising Data Analyst (MDA)

Reports to: Director, Merchandising & Procurement

Salary Range: $48-55K

Location: Albuquerque, NM (local candidates only; no remote candidates will be considered)

Position Objective:

This position is a core foundational role for the merchandising & procurement team that holds great potential for future career growth at Schwazze.

The MDA creates, implements, and maintains master data management solutions that enable users to optimize system capabilities. Uses knowledge of end-to-end data processes to analyze, cleanse, and enrich master data elements, and ensure that data flows efficiently and consistently between users and stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate between Retail, Merchandising, and Accounting to ensure proper accounting and itemization through the product lifecycle, and support / address discrepancies between Sage X3, Cova, and METRC
  • Assists in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure functional master data integrity across the operation of financial systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements
  • Implement, support, monitor retail & procurement product cost & price exception reporting.
  • Support, monitor and adjust Item Set-up across systems, including digital assets
  • Support future acquisition efforts to onboard assets into master item file, and ready data transfer for all software and technologies (Leaflink, Sage, Cova, Dutchie, Alpine IQ, and others)
  • Support, monitor and adjust Item Maintenance across systems, including digital assets
  • Support, monitor and adjust Item Placement across stores, systems, including digital assets
  • Support, monitor and adjust Procurement item costs & delivery retails across systems &digital assets
  • Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
  • Support, monitor and adjust Buying of Retail Inventory across platforms (Leaflink, Sage X3, COVA)
  • Support, monitor and adjust Item Authorizations across systems, including digital assets
  • Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality
  • Support the transition from acquisition software Biotrac to COVA, including clean data transfer to seamlessly accept, sell, and adjust inventories
  • Work closely with the business/data analytics to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of the application meet all requirements
  • Support, monitor and adjust indirect procurement across business units, systems & digital assets
  • Support, monitor and adjust Promotional Changes across systems, including digital assets
  • Track and maintain vendor funding logs and marketing tier program participation
  • Other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned
  • Support, monitor and adjust Item Management across systems, including digital assets
  • Support, monitor and adjust Pricing Changes across systems, including digital assets

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Strong communications skills
  • Knowledge of CPG and/or cannabis industry, terminology and products is a big plus
  • Proficient in Excel and all Microsoft applications
  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in an analytical setting
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active MED badge in the state of Colorado

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule will Vary Depending on the needs of the business (Nights, Weekends, Holidays included)
  • Travel expected to be minimal, as required
