Job Description

The Merchandiser will be responsible for developing and executing the merchandise assortment, strategy, and buys for all omni-channel product for a key segment of our business. This position requires analysis of the business, collaborating with multiple cross functional teams in and outside our company, and frequent presentations to leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Dig into details, understanding the impact to the business and react accordingly
  • Gather information, think through situations from start to finish, and communicate efficiently and effectively to partners
  • Watch/analyze sales and market trends and react accordingly
  • Contribute meaningful information in meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Clearly communicate in front of a large group, answer questions and/or follow up on questions asked
  • Create strong working relationships with cross-functional team members and answer questions about their segment(s) of the business
  • Plan and manage omni-channel assortments for key segment(s) of the business and/or holidays
  • Develop and execute merchandise strategy for product including product assortment, pricing, lifecycle and buys

Qualifications:

  • Effective and efficient at working on multiple projects and prioritize appropriately
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate with all cross-functional teams to achieve the department’s goals
  • Self-starter and takes initiative
  • Ability to review historical and current sales trends and market trends to react accordingly for business (buys, assortment, etc.)
  • Strong analytical reasoning and planning skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of previous buying/merchandising and/or related merchandising experience required; 5-7 years preferred
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ease with numbers
