Mental Health Tech - Emergency Room - Mullica Hill

MAJOR FUNCTION:
Non-licensed staff member who, under the direction of a registered nurse, provides physical care and emotional support to patients, while maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment. In addition, responsible for the clerical and communication functions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:

• 1-2 years previous experience in Emergency Department/inpatient behavioral health setting preferred.
• Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health required.
• High School graduate or G.E.D. required.

Certification/Licensure:

• CPR (American Heart Association) required.
• WELLE required must be obtained within introductory period.
