SUMMARY
MVP Is looking for an independent, assertive, and enthusiastic candidate to grow membership while engaging the community. This position will be the face of MVP in the community for many, with the opportunity to shape how the organization is perceived. This important role of Medicare Sales Representative will conduct all phases of selling including identifying, qualifying and meeting with prospective clients located in the Burlington VT area for purposes of presenting Medicare Advantage (MA) products and services to exceed company and individual enrollment goals. This position will assist the prospective members by providing clear, complete and accurate information regarding Medicare products, managed care, and MVP policies. Develop and maintain positive relationships with senior groups, community-based organizations, providers etc. within assigned territory while being sociable and assertive. Give group and individual sales presentations, meeting company and Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services sales and marketing guidelines. Generate leads and referral sales education and a developed connection with contacts. Create and maintain individual prospect database files including information regarding name, address, phone number and other important data. Complete internal management reports as requested. Present member orientations. Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education & related experience.
Minimum Experience:
  • NY/VT Health Insurance License a plus.
  • Medicare Sales preferred.
  • Experience in a Medicare Managed care setting
Required Skills:
  • Frequently required to lift/transport heavy materials (brochures, etc.)
  • Demonstrated time management and project planning skills. Must possess good problem-solving capabilities.
  • Valid driver's license and access to vehicle for frequent travel within assigned territory.
  • Demonstrated mastery of consultative sales process via successful sales track record.
  • Outlook Word for windows, desired and basic data entry/typing skills.
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills including public speaking.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel (or comparable program) helpful
  • A high level of personal integrity and the ability to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times, both internally and externally, is a must.
  • Must be independent, confident and sensitive to the needs of Medicare eligible populations.
  • Customer relationship management data fluency desired.
  • (VT or NY) LAH Health Insurance license is required within 4-week training period prior to selling.
