Medical Transcriptionist Jobs

The Medical Transcriptionist will be responsible for:

• Identifying problems, determines and provides/implements appropriate corrective action/accurate solutions
• Transcribing codes and delivering gross and microscopic descriptions on surgical pathology cases comprised of moderately difficult medical terminology.
• Researching, troubleshooting and follow-up to ensure all inquiries/problems are resolved in a timely manner
• Accurate and timely data entry of dictated pathology cases and/or outside reports/consult cases into the laboratory information system

The schedule for this position is: Monday through Friday 8:00am until 4:30pm and can be performed remotely.

License/Certification/Education:

• Knowledge of medical terms and medical language.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, but prefer an Associate's Degree w/1 year experience in Medical Transcription.
• Previous experience using foot pedal, audio software, and word processing software preferred.
• Advanced spelling and grammar required.
• Knowledge of medical billing and codes.
