Medical Office Specialist - Lee's Summit Clinic - Full Time

The Work:

• This administrative position performs a variety of functions in the medical office involving general duties including but not limited to answering the telephone, communicating messages through email or Epic, greeting, registering and scheduling patient appointments, collecting patient co-payments.
• Will work to ensure patient confidentiality in all instances while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct.
• Able to provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office including medical records, scheduling insurance verification patient referrals etc. and the ability to float between multiple locations as assigned.
• Makes appointment reminder calls, verifies insurance and other patient data is accurate, and scanning and or uploading patient information to patient’s electronic chart.
• Strong Customer service skills are a must.
