: Medical Information Consultant (Remote)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified Medical Information Consultant for a year-long contract position, offering 30-40 hours per week on a fully remote basis. The consultant will play a pivotal role in providing accurate and timely responses to inquiries from medical professionals and customers concerning pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in the life sciences, holds an advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or MS), and has a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in medical information services. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as light experience in managing third-party vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry to ensure responses are aligned with the latest standards.
  • Scientific Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products, their mechanisms of action, indications, contraindications, and potential adverse effects to provide accurate and reliable information in response to inquiries.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Pharmacovigilance, to gather and verify information required for response letter development.
  • Content Creation: Develop and maintain a repository of standardized response templates, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all communication with stakeholders.
  • Response Letter Development: Craft well-researched and comprehensive response letters addressing inquiries related to pharmaceutical products from medical professionals and customers. Ensure that responses adhere to scientific accuracy, regulatory guidelines, and company policies.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure accurate and consistent responses to inquiries, maintaining effective communication and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the medical information response process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing third-party vendors is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for remote communication and documentation.
  • Proficiency in adhering to regulatory guidelines and standards within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in medical information services, pharmaceuticals, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, their medical uses, and associated scientific concepts.
  • Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or MS) in Life Sciences is required.
