Pharmacare Institutional Services is seeking a Medical Billing Representative for their Long Term Care Pharmacy.Qualifications include H.S. Diploma or equivalent, computer literate, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and detailed oriented.The preferred candidate would possess a pharmacy tech license, have prior knowledge of Medicare Part D billing for LTC and Assisted Living and Qs1 billing systems.

Job description: Handle billing functions within a long-term care pharmacy.Maintain and update patient billing and insurance information. Interact with insurance company on a daily basis in regard to patient eligibility coverage, prior authorizations, overrides and rejections. Interact with nursing home staff and prescriber’s office when necessary.Provide support and feedback regarding billing errors to pharmacy personnel.Respond to customer service calls and emails from facilities, patients, families and responsible parties and resolve reported issues. Review past due invoices and follow up with the responsible party to acquire payment.
