Medical Assistant - Primary Care - Mission Farms

Saint Luke’s Health System Primary Care Clinics are looking for a Medical Assistants (Certified or Non Certified) to be an integral part of our provider team that delivers high quality patient-centered medical care to our community. This position is responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty or primary care physician practice. This position is full time Monday-Friday (some Saturdays), with no holidays. Position is typically day hours (8am-5pm).
This is a great opportunity for an experienced or entry level Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), an experienced or entry level Medical Assistant or even someone interested in becoming a medical assistant and providing patient care. Those candidates that are not certified or that do not have applicable experience will receive 10 weeks of on the job training to learn the position. 
Hiring for the Mission Farms (Overland Park, KS) location.
Specific Duties Include

• Administer injections and coordinate vaccines
• Assist providers with procedures
• Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)
• Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents
• Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Phlebotomy as needed
• Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals
• Travel between Saint Luke’s clinic locations is required when needed (mileage eligible)
• Complete various administrative tasks as needed such as prior authorizations, RX refills, etc.
• Cover front office responsibilities as needed
