The Role: Busy practice looking for a Medical Assistant with a passion for Dermatology!.
The Work:
  • Performs routine dermatology procedures medical assistant support, including assisting providers in dermatological surgical procedures, medical documentation (scribing) and providing education to patients and families.
  • Participates in departmental quality assurance/quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provides support to the patient care team under appropriate supervision as outlined by applicable rules and regulations.
  • Maintains stock of dermatology equipment and supplies.

You Have:
  • Confident and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and multiple priorities, and problem solve within a team setting.
  • Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications and multiple computer applications
  • CERTIFICATION: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Certified as a Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Health Career Association(NHA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) OR Registered as a Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) OR Maine State Licensure as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
