Medical Assistant--Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine Position Summary

• Working member of care team at Specialty Care office that provides patient-centered care delivery.
• Provides initial preparation of patients prior to the provider’s encounter; assists providers in patient care activities, as directed; updates/documents electronic health records; relieves/assists Medical Assistant, Patient Service Representative or Provider as needed; orders and restocks exam rooms and office supplies as needed; answers phone lines and assists with referrals/scheduling; assists provider with patients in Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine.

Medical Assistant--Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine Position Requirements

• NCCA Medical Certification preferred.
• Ability to function well in fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience with work queues and referrals/scheduling preferred.
• Previous physician office experience preferred.
• Strong phone skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with electronic health record preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.

Medical Assistant Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, Day Shift
