Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a Full-Time (37.5 hrs/wk) Medical Assistant in Worcester.


The Medical Assistant will work in our Primary Care in Worcester helping patients by providing information, services, and assistance.

  • Grade C02 Medical Assistant I - Certification in Medical Assisting required
  • Work Client Registries via Electronic Health Record, Microsoft Access, or other database
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Meet regularly with multi-disciplinary care team (including Intensive Care Manager, Provider, Care Support Worker) to help create plans for specific patients and populations not achieving optimal care
  • Enjoys being part of a diverse team
  • Create, maintain, and distribute results of QI measures around access, patient experience, and health outcomes to other care teams and management
  • Grade C04 Medical Assistant II - Associates degree in Medical Assisting required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Reconcile medications and vaccines
  • Responsibility to inform the care team if a patient is out of compliance consistently
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to recognize problems, think creatively, and devise innovative solutions.
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height
  • Perform EKG’s, ear irrigations, and all other necessary testing as requested by primary care provider
  • Work with other care teams including Practice Manager and Medical Director on quality improvement measures and process designs
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and self-directed
  • Collaborate and provide data to care team to establish population appropriate pre-visit screenings, assessments, and needs
  • Prepare treatment rooms keeping them clean and properly stocked
  • Schedule appointments for patients
  • Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician
  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
  • Automate and perform processes by phone or send letters to patients either overdue for medical care or out of compliance with the goals of their care
  • Monitor the database to identify and reach out to those needing services
  • Must be able to pass CORI background check.
