About The Role


HerMD is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our women’s healthcare practice running efficiently in Millburn, NJ!


As a physician-founded practice, we understand the challenges medical providers experience daily. HerMD is resurrecting the patient-provider relationship, allowing our Registered Nurses (RNs) to spend quality time with each patient and a sustainable work-life balance.

CMA Responsibilities


Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare practice staff with administrative and clinical duties.


  • Assist in basic examinations
  • Assist the office manager in maintaining medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed.
  • Assist with in office procedures
  • Assist physicians and the medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties
  • Explain common medical procedures to patients
  • Learn the electronic medical records and chart procedures according to the practice standards.
  • Record patient medical history and maintain patient records
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams

RequirementsResponsibilities

  • Assist in basic examinations
  • Explain common medical procedures to patients
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment
  • Assist with in-office procedures
  • Record patient medical history and maintain patient records
  • Assist the practice manager in maintaining medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed
  • Learn the electronic medical records and chart procedures in accordance with the practice standards.
Requirements


  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Minimum of 2 years of gynecology experience is desired but will also consider those recently out of school
  • CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required
  • Ability to multitask
  • BLS certification required
