General Summary

The General Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of company products in accordance with applicable Bills of Material, drawings and assembly procedures. Performs all fabrication and assembly work in a manner consistent with Enercon’s quality standards. This is a first shift position, Monday through Friday, overtime on Saturday’s as needed.

R esponsibilities

• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Keep tools in good working order. Report any problems to lead. Keep assigned area neat and orderly.
• Read blue prints and fabricate parts to meet specifications.
• Fabricators demonstrate attention to detail and quality, and engage in continuous process improvement via discussion, feedback, and training.
• Follow all safety rules and reports problems promptly.
• Fabricators use hand tools, power drills, milling machine and other power tools.
• Use computer to record labor and quantities completed into ERP system.
• Fabricate and assemble electrodes and other components to spec and quality standards by setting up and operating a milling machine; fabricating and assembling parts; and re-assembling the electrodes.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Ability to perform work while standing or stooping for up to two hours.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Knowledge of general hand tool use and power machinery.
• Work independently and adapt to variations in fabrication with minimal supervision.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with the metric system and the ability to read measuring devices, both in English and Metric.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.
• Skilled in the reading and interpreting of blueprints.
• At least 6 months fabrication experience in an assembly or manufacturing position.
