Job Description
Wooster Power Equipment, Inc is seeking a reliable and experienced fulltime Mechanic for outdoor power equipment to join our team in Wooster, OH. In this role, you will specialize in repairing and maintaining parts of the engine, such as fuel systems, pumps, and transmissions. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the outdoor power equipment industry and be able to perform routine maintenance and diagnose malfunctions.

Job Duties:
• Uses hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, or precision instruments, as well as power tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, or jacks and hoists.
• Repairing and maintaining mowing equipment including engines, fluid drive transmissions, electrical, and mechanical components
• Repairing and maintaining handheld and related equipment including chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, pressure washers and generators.
• Performs routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Checks diagnostic equipment
• Test drives equipment to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
• Raises heavy parts and equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Disassembles engines to perform maintenance, repair, or replace parts.
• Repairs and replaces wheels and tires
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Outdoor power equipment industry - 3+ year preferred
• GED preferred
• Equipment manufactures certifications – EETC is a plus
• Must have basic hand tools
• Must pass background and drug screen
