GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Manage inventory of raw and packaging materials to ensure production demands are met, while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Ensure the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilities
• Coordinate packaging demand requirements with Purchasing and outside vendors
• Supervise procurement and inventory team personnel to ensure raw and packaging inventory levels are kept within acceptable min/max range.
• Execute inventory control procedures which minimize material disposals
• Communicate with Customer Service and Production any problems/opportunities with schedule attainment relating to materials
• Follow all Food Safety Requirements and GMPs as applicable to position
• Responsible for inventory accounting and yield reporting
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned
• Assist with procurement of raw materials as required by the business

Required Skills
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

• Knowledge of material handling procedures, inventory accounting, and good manufacturing practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Inventory management experience a plus.
• Strong computer skills.
• Prefer 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a food processing company, entry level considered.
• Must have the ability to make decisions, maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English very helpful.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift 40 pounds. Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Ability to travel. Able to work in a cold environment (35* on Plant floor).
WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Flexibility to work varied hours.
Ability to travel as needed.
Required Experience
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

PAY RATE:

• $68,000 - $74,000 Annually
