Job Description
Material Handler - Compounding Department Key Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining overall chemical inventory for Compounding dept. Pick and stage materials for scheduled production runs using ERP system and digital inventory controls. Return to inventory and cycle count chemicals from completed production runs. Routine non production related cycle counts to preserve inventory levels. Organize and maintain chemical storage warehouses to keep appearances and cleanliness up to expectations. Move materials from receiving warehouse production warehouse. Utilize Bin Location system inventory control systems. Maintain proper liaison with all departments to contribute team philosophy, including coordinating chemical quality testing and approval before they are needed for production. Perform monthly walkthroughs per procedures to identify and quarantine expiring chemicals and coordinate quality retesting. Perform monthly and annual calibration checks, and safety inspections on production equipment. Various other inventory related tasks and programs as directed by management. Responsible for adhering to all procedures and practices that maintain safety regulations and comply with SOPs, CT-DEEP, EPA, OSHA, FDA, and cGMP requirements, including attending in house training sessions. Working overtime as requested by management. Willing to accept assignments in other areas and departments as needed to maintain focus on the greater good of the company. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must pass company-required onboarding tests. Must have a valid driver's license for use of electric pallet jacks, lifts, and forklifts. Must have basic understanding of computers and programs, excel spreadsheets, ability to clearly and professionally send emails internally, and high school level math skills.
