Overview


This position is located in Brandon South Dakota


1st shift: Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm. Some Friday hours may be required.


$18 per hour

Summary/Objective


This position will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials. This position will support manufacturing efforts through efficient transportation, storage, pulling and staging various materials. The position will be able to operate company forklifts and vehicles safely.


Essential Functions


  • Attach tags or labels to material or mark information on cases, bins, pallets or other containers
  • Ability to move parts to meet delivery schedules
  • Ability to support manufacturing by supplying direct help when needed
  • Verify counts, weights, and record number of units moved, handled or shipped out
  • Compliance to the LTE QMS or other procedure requirement
  • Complete equipment maintenance checklist.
  • Up keep and maintenance of equipment assigned and personal equipment issued
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software; Microsoft software, D365, and understand the Mobile Device and scanner.
  • The ability to operate a forklift is required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other team members of the organization.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.


Supervisory Responsibility


This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.


Physical Demands


While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – while performing this job the employee is regularly standing walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations considered for individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee works around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and conveyer roller lines. The employee will work in outside weather conditions in all seasons. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.


In addition, the employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties.


This position requires Personal Protective Equipment such as work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear which will be provided.


Additional items required but not included are steel toed shoes or boots.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm. Some Fridays will be mandatory from 5am - 11am.


Travel


There is no travel required for this position.


Required Education And Experience


  • LCI Forklift License Required (Offered once hired).
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • High school degree or GED.


Preferred Education And Experience


  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred.
  • 1-3 months related work experience and/or training.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
