Job Description
As a Shipper/Receiver is required to be familiar with forklift operation and proper lifting techniques associated with moving and handling of material. As well as packaging and labeling and tracking outgoing and incoming material.
A day in the life of a shipper/Receiver can look like
  • Participates in cycle counting and physical inventory
  • Receive incoming product and cross-check with packing lists and ERP/WMS system to ensure accuracy.
  • Label and put away received product in the correct stock location
  • Affix proper labels and packing lists to each package/pallet
  • Contact carrier to schedule pick-up of customer orders
  • Process orders based on the customer's preferred carrier (e.g. FedEx Freight, USF Holland, etc.)
  • Packages freight to prevent damage during transit and upon delivery to customer
  • Able to operate all necessary equipment (ex. Forklift) in a safe and proficient manner.
  • Prepare and print shipping labels/packing lists corresponding to shipping needs
  • Track inventory and report any shortages to management
We are looking for
  • 1+ years' experience in warehouse, distribution or manufacturing
  • Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiar with warehouse management systems and shipping software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Knowledge in shipping internationally is a plus
