Material Handler B - Warehouse - Valon Kone

Overview
Moves, unloads, loads, pulls, and stores material from the loading platform, warehouse, production floor, storage locations, or outside storage facilities by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors or other material handling equipment as required by the department to facilitate production, storage, or shipping operations. May pack, crate, secure, label and weigh customer orders or manufacturing orders as required to prepare for shipping, storage, or transportation.
Responsibilities

• Receives material and product.
• Generates pick lists, packs, and pulls parts to ship.
• Moves material within the warehouse, production floor or outside storage facility by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors or other material handling equipment as required by the department to facilitate production, storage, or shipping operations, loading trucks.
• Processes Fed Ex and UPS shipments.
• Other job duties as assigned.
• Build wooden crates, if necessary, using measuring tapes, table saw and nail guns.
• May complete required cycle counts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read basic blueprints.
• One-year related experience in material handling or manufacturing.
• Ability to do math involving fractions, decimals, geometry, and measuring methods.
• Ability to comprehend internal documents and compare orders being handled.
• Must be able to interact with other team members daily.
• Basic computer skills required to complete inventory transactions.
• Ability to operate table saw, nail guns, and build shipping containers.
• Excellent computer skills, Microsoft office, and shipping software.
• High School diploma or GED
• Must be able to operate a forklift as well as a high lift. Previous forklift and crane experience preferred.
• Able to work within a team environment.
