Job Description

OVERVIEW
This is a Material Coordinator role within the Innovation, Technology, & Quality (ITQ) Shared Services - Logistics organization at our JFB Technical Center in Golden Valley. This role presents an exciting and challenging opportunity to gain new or leverage existing ingredient procurement and management skills in direct support of multiple R&D platforms. The work performed supports new and existing product and process development, as well as consumer testing. A successful candidate may be asked with advanced notice, to fulfill other tasks and duties as needed across our One Pilot Plant & Logistics organization.

 

The standard work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 7:00-15:00.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and support a standardize import process for experimental ingredients from international vendors
  • Maintain personal safety and ensure a safe environment for those around you
  • Develop replenishment and material strategy for supported platforms, making adjustments and forecasting to anticipate demand on high use ingredients
  • Provide physical material management of ingredients applicable to the platforms you support, including staging of ingredients for Pilot Plant work when applicable
  • Follow GMPs and all other food safety practices and procedures
  • Mitigate transportation, age management, and delivery issues to ensure business needs are met
  • Partner with Shared Services Pilot Plant Schedulers, Order Assembly & Mumbai Logistics team to support and execute ingredient needs across JFB and for Plant Trials
  • Provide technical expertise, insights and training as skills and knowledge are developed
  • Lead with Safety, helping to foster and maintain a "culture" that values Employee & Consumer Safety
  • Accurately and efficiently review requests submitted by R&D developers in My Solutions Portal, compare to existing site inventory, and place orders for required ingredients
  • Learn and apply Continuous Improvement tools as a routine part of your work, to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency, reliability, and safety
  • Managing competing and changing timelines
  • Participate/complete all required training
  • Provide outstanding internal and external customer service

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Customer Service Excellence
  • Able to lift and manipulate 55 lbs safely and frequently over an 8 hour period
  • Able to demonstrate computer based system skills -SAP and Office Suite experience preferred
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Associates Degree or High School diploma and 3+ years of experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills
  • Ability to perform well in a mechanical and technical environment
  • Attention to detail/accuracy
  • Must be capable of performing well with limited supervision, both individually, as well as in a Team environment

  • 4-year degree and 3+ years of related experience
