Job Description
Your responsibilities
Summary of Position:
To accurately provide inventory information for company-controlled material stock. Monitor,
organize, and maintain inventory of company products at multiple branch locations.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from
the mill
  • Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production
Requirements
  • Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support the movement of material
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system
regarding material movements
  • Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags
  • Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up
  • Perform verification of scrap
  • Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket
  • Assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits
  • Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Certification to operate material handling equipment, examples include forklift, side loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker
  • Ability to use a tape measure and calipers for material inspection/measurement
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand English and perform basic math problems
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in written work and data entry
  • Basic computer skills for data entry into an inventory management system
Preferred requirements:
  • Some college course work, leading toward completion of degree
  • Previous experience safely operating a variety of material handling equipment (forklift,
  • 3 years of material control or inventory experience
