Position Overview


EJT Education Group is searching for an experienced full-time Marketing Project Manager. The responsibilities for this position will include managing marketing launches for an online small business. The project scopes are launches for their annual signature in -person event and monthly email and workshop campaigns to increase revenue to the business.


This person will have the overall responsibility for the planning, management, and execution of marketing campaign projects. They will work with the team to identify the resources and skills needed to complete all marketing launches on time and within budget.


Job Responsibilities


  • Complete postmortem briefs after each launch and initiate launch debriefs to share results and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare status reports and lead update meetings with the CEO and team on status of all marketing launches.
  • Map out the tasks for each project, set key deliverables and milestones for each project and monitor progress to ensure the launches are on schedule and within budget.
  • Responsible for taking the project brief from the CEO, creating a full project launch plan, and initiating a kickoff meeting with all stakeholders for the marketing projects to define the project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • During the Launch Phase, the Marketing Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the project is advancing on-time and within scope, removing obstacles when surfaced, and ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks.
  • Adjust schedules and milestones for each launch as needs or budgeting change.
  • Ensure company success by communicating key deliverables, timelines to facilitate launches in a timely manner.
  • Managing budgets for marketing projects that range from $100 - $300k in cost.
  • Test all launch deliverables prior to each launch and provide feedback on the outcomes and ensure all is ready by deadlines.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all marketing launches and create a consistent process for all launches within the company.

  • You have excellent project management, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • You understand marketing and the basic elements of marketing for an online business to include funnels, lead generation, email campaigns, etc.
  • You have the ability to deliver results through others.
  • You are tech savvy and do not mind learning new tools that are related to the launch deliverables and project management tools.
  • You are process minded with a bent towards efficiency and process improvement.
  • You have a persuasive and influential personality that people naturally listen to and follow
  • You are able to work independently and manage key tasks remotely.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and able to get buy-in from team members


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS + KNOWLEDGE


  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and interface with internal and external parties.
  • Launch Manager certification is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field is preferred.
  • Highly motivated and assertive self-starter
  • Self-motivated, high energy, results oriented contributor who thrives in a fast-paced setting
  • Prior experience working within a small business or non-profit setting is ideal.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and exceptionally strong project management skills in marketing activities.
  • Proven track record managing several projects simultaneously across multiple functional and remote teams
  • Extremely organized with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience presenting to clients using video conferencing tools.
  • Prior experience using marketing and online business tools such as Asana, ConvertKit, Leadpages, ClickFunnels, Dubsado, Ontraport, SuperPhone, Airtable, SamCart, and Kajabi.
  • Experience with project management theory and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Focused on results and detail oriented.
  • Exemplary communication skills (persuasive written, compelling verbal)
  • Able to quickly adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships quickly and develop trust with others
  • Skill and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives
  • At least 3 years previous experience in a marketing and/or launch management role


Compensation & Details


This position is a contract to hire. You would begin as a 1099 contractor working 40 hours a week for the 1st 90 days and then after successful completion of 90 days, the role would become a full-time W2 employee. The position starts at $70-80K annually.


  • You will need to be available during Monday-Friday 9-5 pm EST
  • Must be willing and able to attend 2-3 in person meetings annually
  • You’ll work remote primarily and have complete location independence within the United States; prefer those in CST or EST time zones
  • Must have own computer and reliable access to Wi-Fi, internet, headset, and phone.
